Working together for protection

We continue to work with the governments of Canada and Alberta to develop regulations relating to effluent and tailings that protect our constitutional rights, the Athabasca River and the Peace-Athabasca Delta.

This includes assessing the best available technologies for responsible waste management and a consistent focus on adhering to Indigenous criteria. Regulations are due to be completed in 2025. Our next steps in this process include:
