Rita Marten Nihiyawiwin Kiskinwamatowin High School is preparing to offer a culturally relevant, land-based academic program for MCFN members, Indigenous and Métis students, and non-Indigenous students seeking an engaging educational experience rooted in tradition, academic excellence, and community.
The program will support students entering Grade 10 for the 2026–2027 school year, will include small classroom sizes, experiential learning, and four seasonal land-based experiences in Fort Chipewyan, including Moose Harvest, Trapping, Fishing, and Treaty Days.
